2011 Sale Updates

It’s been awhile since I provided any updates for the 2011 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale!  Can you believe it’s less than a week away? I don’t have too much to say yet – just a couple of reminders.  Next week I will have a lot more information.  As soon as I get home Wednesday, I plan to post the price list, along with any pictures I take.  Can’t wait!

First, here’s a fun video I found of last year’s sale.  If you have never attended, it’s a great little sneak peek of what to expect.  Or, if you have attended in the past, it may bring back some memories!  Just ignore the dates in the video (they’re from 2010).

And now, for the reminders…

The last time I checked, there were still tickets available for the last session on Thursday evening – these can be purchased through Ticketmaster.  Tickets for all other sessions were sold out.

No ticket?  No problem!  You can still attend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  These days are general admission.  However, there is a good chance there will be long lines to both get into the sale and to check out.

Also, have you registered yet?  This year, registration is free.  Anyone who wants to make a purchase at the sale will need to be registered.  This can be done at the sale, but why hassle with another line?  It’s very easy to do it online, although if you wait until Monday, it will be too late!  The deadline is Sunday, April 10th, at midnight EST.

Here are the registration links:

For individuals and groups of 14 or less: http://www.regonline.com/Register/Checkin.aspx?EventID=931250

For groups of 15 or more: http://www.regonline.com/Register/Checkin.aspx?EventID=938317

When I completed the individual registration, I had to provide my name, email address, and street address.  I also had to create a password (although I’m not really sure why!).  If you are registering others, you will probably want to collect this information from them before logging in.

I received an e-mail confirmation within a minute of registering.  Print a copy of this confirmation – you will need it when you check out at the sale.  In addition to the registration confirmation, you will also need to present the cashier with a photo ID.  The Vera Bradley company uses this registration to enforce its purchase limit of $3000.

Well, that’s all I have today.  Make sure you check back next week, when I will be providing more details about the 2011 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale.

Comments

  1. I’ll be there Tuesday night, I’ll let you know what I see there.

Really great bargains I hope! :-)

  2. I am so excited for the sale! I have to wait until Saturday to go, do you think that their will still be a good selection of things? I sure hope so! I am hoping to arrive around 6 a.m. to get in line! My friends and I are making it a road trip and we are counting down the days! Any idea about patterns that will be for sale? BTW I love your blog!

  3. My friend was in Fort Wayne today and there are many many semis of Vera Bradley at the Coliseum ready to be unloaded. Someone at the plant also told me that there was allot this year too.

    Excited!! :-)

  4. How early should we get there on the 1st day?

  5. A few hours before opening time.

  6. I’m planning to go to the sale on Friday. I’d love to share the driving with someone who’s going from the Cleveland or Akron area.

  7. Akron, home of Harry London! I love that chocolate so much!

You could try posting on facebook that you would like to share a ride from that area.

  8. Thank you so much for posting what’s at the sale and prices…..I’ll probably be in line waiting to get in so I won’t get to see it online. I’m attending the 6:30 p.m. Wed. session and live 45 min. away….I’ll keep checking before I leave at 1 or 2. You’re a gem! :)

  9. I am getting so excited for the sale! I can’t believe that some people, very lucky people I might add, get to go in today! Can’t wait to hear about the selection!

  10. Stephanie says:

I am going to the sale on Thursday morning for the first session. Because I have a ticket, do you suspect that we will have to wait long in the lines to get in? If so, should we get there early?

  11. On ticket days, there should not be any lines to get into the sale (except for waiting for sessions times to start). Have fun!

  12. Stephanie says:

If anyone finds out what pieces and patterns are available, please let us know!!!

  13. I just got back from the sale, they have allot of patterns, allot but the prices seem higher on the bags this year, and NO classic handbags to be found anywhere. That disappointed me and the placemats that I always buy were 10.00 and they only retail for 12.00. I got them cheaper on clearance on the website. :-( And napkins were 4.00.

There was a large table at the back that had assorted merchandise for half of retail but I didn’t see anything too exciting, luggage was 249.00 and I think 179.00.

No rugs. :-( That made me sad as I wanted one for my new house when I move.

Large duffels 59.00, small duffels 39.00.

Candles for 3.99, mints for 2.99. Lanyards 4.99.

I would imagine there will be allot of markdowns as the week goes on, there was allot of agendas, notebooks, note cubes and paper products like that, more than I have ever seen there.

I love the plastic shopping totes and they had those for 3.00 so I was happy with that. I also bought napkins for 2.00 & 3.00 and some file folders for 5.00. I will go back of course this weekend for markdowns. :-)

  14. Thats a bummer to hear :/ I was looking forward to cheap stuff…..Especially for a 3 hour drive.

  15. Thanks for the update Debbie! I guess we will have to wait for this weekend for the really good prices.

  16. Well maybe if the product isn’t moving fast enough they will start marking down each day Dawn.

I also should clarify that the napkins I did buy were paper napkins, they are so pretty, they only had 4 patterns though and a sign that said paper plates on it but the lady said they did not get any at the sale.

  17. Will you please scan the price list and post it? :)
Thanks a bunch! Driving from Tennesee for 3rd year! YAY!!

  18. I hope you had fun today Dawn, I thought of you in all that crowd of people and purses! :-)

  19. Debbie, I did have fun!! It’s so worth the ticket price when you can just walk right in. I actually wished they also sold tickets for this weekend too. I bought too much, but that’s normal! I thought of you too, when I saw the paper napkins – they are very pretty!
