General Admission Days at the 2011 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale

It’s Friday!!!  Today is the first general admission day of the 2011 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale!  No tickets are needed to enter the sale today, nor are they needed on Saturday or Sunday.

The first two days of the sale went smoothly, but that’s no surprise, seeing that admission was limited to 3,000 ticket holders per shopping session.

A lot of people (me included!) have been wondering what these final three days of the sale will be like, and really, it just depends on how many people show up to shop.  For safety reasons, the number of people allowed into the shopping area is limited.  Once they hit the cap, the wait begins.  Wear comfortable shoes, bring a bottle of water and a snack, pack an umbrella (there’s rain in the forecast for Friday & Saturday).  It’s much easier to tolerate the long lines if you’re prepared.

This year, the arena area is fully open, so there should not be any long lines snaking through the parking lot like last year.  Also, if you have not registered yet, you may be able to do it while waiting in line – I have heard they have set up registration stations in the arena area.  When you get inside the shopping area, keep an eye out for silver star balloons.  They are using these to show where their price markdowns are at.

I won’t be at the sale today.  I know, booo!  Actually, my schedule is so packed, I probably won’t even be able to check in here much either.  However, if you go to the sale today, feel free to leave a comment below letting us know how it went…

  1. Hi everybody! Just a quick update…

I have been listening to Magic 95.1 today as I have been running around town, and it sounds like everything is going great at the sale today. At 11:00 this morning, they even said there was no line – you could just walk right in! Wish I was there!!

  2. I was at the sale today-my first time at the outlet sale. I loved it! I arrived at 6:30a.m. and was in the first group to be admitted to the sales floor. By the time I got in, it was almost 8:30, and I shopped for about 2 1/2 hours. There is a load of fresh stock being brought to the tables as things run low. I am AMAZED at the huge quantity of merchandise! The checkout lines moved very fast. It was a fun experience!

In case you don’t find what you want at the Coliseum, take the shuttle or drive over to Jefferson Pointe to shop the outlet store. There is a coupon for 10% off on a purchase of at least $75, and a free bottle of water with a Vera Bradley design on it!

  3. Went today with friends- got there at 9:45- waited in line 25 min.and then in to shop. Had loads of stuff even duffles and super totes. Check out was a breeze too compared to last year. Will go again next year!

  4. I went today too…arrived at 2:15, walked right into the sale room, shopped and was amazed by the great selection still available! They were restocking quickly and checking out was awesome…I walked into the checkout room and absolutely no waiting in line at all, went right up to a cashier and checked out!!

Once I arrived home I checked my purchases against my receipt and discovered that I had been charged for 3 yoga mats but had purchased only two. A phone call to customer service started with me telling them what a pleasure it was to shop with no waiting in line and they refunded the amount to my credit card without any hassles at all.

A great day and hoping all goes as smoothly again next year! I think the ticketed days really helped and by the way, yes, I was there on Wednesday too. :)

Good shopping to anyone going tomorrow and Sunday!

  5. We got in to the sale at 8:00 and shopped for about an hour and a half. Check out was a breeze and everyone was so nice. We are already planning to make the 4 hour trip next year……colors and patterns were much better this year.

  6. If you go today, Saturday, please let me know what patterns are left………
With the new markdowns, I’m anxious to know about the selection.

  7. Still several patterns, great markdowns, typical lines from previous years. Well worth it.

  8. Way better than last year!!!!

  9. Dawn,
thanks soooo much for having/doing this web site/blog. It was a great help. This was our second year of going and it went much smoother than last year. We went on Friday and they had a great selection and the prices weren’t too bad. But it’s a gamble. You have to go with an open mind and not get upset when they mark down items you bought the day before the next day. Honestly would you want to pack all that up and take it back to the warehouse. I’ve never gone on a Sunday, maybe next year. Again a BIB THANKS.

  10. I went Sunday afternoon and could not believe the selection that was still left! They had a lot of old patterns that they have been trying to get rid of for awhile (Puccini, Botanica, Riviera Blue), but they also still had a lot left in newer patterns – Sittin in a Tree, Totally Turq, Loves Me, Paprika, Imperial Toile, Blue Rhapsody, Poppy Fields…

The prices on Sunday were not as low as I have seen in prior years, so that may be why there was still a good selection left. Surprisingly, I walked right in, and had absolutely no wait at the checkout.

  11. Dawn,
Does Vera Bradley hire outside the company to work at the Outlet Sale? I am soon to be retired and would like the opportunity to work there.

  12. Can you please give us the details about your Sunday shopping with prices?

  13. @ Linda I’m not sure how they handle the hiring for the sale. You may want to call their customer service department and ask – their number is (888) 855-8372.

  14. @ Kellie I just put up a post with my notes from the last day of the sale. Here’s the link:
