News About the 2011 Outlet Sale

I have the dates for the 2011 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale, as well as some other good news about the annual warehouse sale!  First, the dates…

The event will be held from Wednesday, April 13, 2011 through Sunday, April 17, 2011.  Once again, it will be held at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  I’m not sure of the specific times yet, but as soon as I know more, I will post the information here.

Now, for the really good news…

Now, for the really good news, especially for those who are impatient and do not like to wait in line (yep, that would be me!).  Tickets are required for the first two days of the sale (April 13 & 14).  This means that if you want to avoid the crazy crowds, you will need to get a ticket as soon as they go on sale.  Tickets will be available for specific session times within those two selected dates.

It has been a few years since they had tickets for the event, but if I remember correctly, session times were broken out in two or three hour increments.  Also, in the past, the proceeds from ticket sales were donated to the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.  I do not know if this will be the case again, but if so, that is always a good thing – not only will you get to shop at a great event, but you will also be making a contribution to a great cause.  I can’t remember how much I paid for tickets in past years, but I remember the cost was very reasonable – less than twenty dollars, including Ticketmaster fees.

According to the Vera Bradley website, more information about the cost of the tickets and session times will be available in November, and tickets will be available for purchase in late January.  That all sounds so far away, but I’m sure it will be here before we know it!

When I know more, I will pass it on to you here…

In the meantime, let me know what you think about the upcoming 2011 Vera Bradley Outlet Sale.  For me, now that I know ticketed slots are available for shopping, I am so excited!  Unfortunately, I have a feeling those tickets will go fast.  I plan on ordering mine as soon as they go on sale, and I am guessing I won’t be the only one.  In years past, they sold out within a few days.  Seeing how much attendance has grown over the past few years, I am guessing these could potentially sell out within a few hours, so make sure you don’t wait to get yours when they do go on sale.

Comments

  1. Let me know when I can get tickets to the 2011 Vera Bradley warehouse sale.

  2. Cindy Hale says:

Please let me know when the tickets go on sale. Also I wanted to inquire about being able to work at the sale. I talked to some of the workers last year and they told me it was a possiblity. Could you help me with this?

    Thank-you

    • Hi Cindy,

You will need to contact the Vera Bradley company. Their customer service number is (888) 855-8372.

Tickets will be going on sale February 1. I will be putting up a blog post with the details soon.

  3. I drove the 3.5 hours to the VB sale on the 29th last year. I purchased the tickets ahead of time. It was insane and it ended up that they had overbooked or something. I was not the only one, but I was angry. So we just turned around and drove home, 3.5 hours. We wrote a letter of complaint and sent in our proof that we purchased ahead of time tickets and never heard anything. I went to the one before that and had no problems. Despite all this and the feelings of boycotting VB I will make the long travel to the outlet sale on Wed. I really hope they have it set up for a success and have it not end up like last year. Buying at the outlet sales are the only way to go. I’m continuing to think that everything is incredibly over-priced and it’s all made in foreign sweatshops, I’m sure. So here’s to hoping I will get in this year and not have to waste a 7 hour trip for nothing!

    • Last year the sale was open to the general public. The tickets were actually the registration to purchase. This year they are still requiring registration, but I believe registration will be free. Tickets will not be oversold for the first two days – they are limiting them to 3000 per session, with four sessions on each day. There may be long lines on the final three days because those are open to the public (no ticket required).

  4. What is the VB warehouse sale?

  5. This year will be my first time attending the sale and we are going on Saturday when it is open to the general public. What time do you suggest we get in line that morning if the sale begins at 8:00 am??? I’ve heard of people who actually get in line the night before!?

  6. Nancy B says:

Can you go in at anytime during the 2 and a half hour session that is on your ticket? I assume so but don’t want to be wrong.

    • Hi Nancy,

I believe so, as long as you are ready to check out at the end of your session.

  7. shady greene says:

for those going to the saturday sale, which is a day open to the public. there is no need to get in line in the middle of the night. you can get in line 30 minutes before the doors open and not wait that long.

sunday is best day for bargains. most stuff is marked down 75-80%.

the people who get in line in the middle of the night are the ones going to the sale on the first day.

  8. if you are able to get tickets for the VIP day … what time do you need to be in line and will there be 3,000 people going at time too?

    • Hi Mandy, I don’t anticipate any lines to get into the sale on the VIP days. They did have 3000 tickets available for each session time, so there will be a crowd there, but it won’t be as busy as the general admission times.

  9. is there ever any fabric there?

  10. Do they take visa, mastercard, etc?

    • Hi Ashley, They take Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, checks and cash at the sale.

  11. shady greene says:

Mandy, Vb guards the fabric for the handbags very well! after all if fabric gets out, it cuts into their profits.

I have seen handmade lap quilts donated to area nursing homes made out of 2×2 inch squares of VB quilted fabric. these squares were donated to local organization with strict instructions that the fabric only be used as donations, not to be sold.

All the proceeds from the outlet sale go to BREAST CANCER RESEARCH. 100% of the proceeds. just wanted to throw that out there.

  12. BARBIE STONER says:

I ATTENDED THE 2010 SALE AND IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. YES WE DID

EXCITED TO SAY I AM GOING AGAIN THIS YEAR. MY FRIENDS AND I WILL
BE DRIVING ALL THE WAY FROM NORTH CAROLINA TO ATTEND. CAN’T
    WAIT…….SEE YA ON FRIDAY

  13. Hi Barbie, All the way from North Carolina – that’s awesome! Hope you and your friends have a safe road trip and a great time at the sale!

  14. Linda Hamrick says:

I would like to bring a motorcoach full of women for next years sale. Is there a limit to the tickets that I can purchase ?. I could need as many as 50 tickets. We are from North Carolina. Is the sale the same days each year? Do you have the dates for 2012 yet?

  15. Any word whether their will be a outlet sale in the fall of 2011?
